Ipad Forms?

Everyone loves a good challenge - including me! One of my most interesting challenges in the past couple months was to create a form. That doesn't sound too exciting, does it? But it was!

This form had to have check boxes and typeable areas that could be interacted with on an ipad. It had to be saved out with the new data, and it had to be able to be printed from the iPad to the desktop printer. The idea was that during inspections, the clients contractors were usually walking around with a carbon copy on huge paper. The idea of flipping through giant pieces of paper and clipboards was getting kind of crazy - not to mention pricey! The solution was an interactive PDF. How swish! The last time I made an intractable PDF form using Adobe InDesign, it was pre-ipads! Luckily I remembered how to do it, and delivered my client a perfectly functional form.
